It’s only human natural not to want to disappoint someone after making a commitment to them. Turning your gym session into a social session with a friend is a great way to chat up and also get in shape. It’s win-win for everyone!
Track Your Progress
Nothing is more frustrating than working out consistently and not seeing any changes in your body. Chances are there are heaps of changes happening; you’re just not seeing them. Start tracking your progress. Whether you weigh yourself weekly or track the amount of weight you lift or the number of reps you do, that’s progress.
Set a goal with a deadline. Every time you go to the gym put a dollar in a jar. Once you meet that goal, take that money and buy yourself something special. Sign up for a running race, triathlon, or charity walk. Circle the date on your calendar. Now you have a goal. It’s easy to stay motivated to go to the gym when you have a goal on the circle. Plus, the race medal will look cool on your wall or your work desk.
